Cadges Farm Livery is a family run yard. It is run by ex-event rider Harriet Ong and her husband James. The yard has an intimate and friendly atmosphere and living on site we are always on hand to help with your needs.
Background
Harriet ran an eventing and breaking yard for 8 years until 2005 when she stopped to have a family. Harriet competed a range of event horses every year from pre-novice to advanced, and trained and rode in point to point.
James's background is in business. Having trained as an accountant and worked in a variety of roles in businesses, James has now devoted all of his time to the livery yard,
Youngsters
Many years of experience bringing on young horses, taking them to their first competitions, teaching them to hunt, and even qualifying them for the Burghley Young Event Horse final.
Breaking
Lots of experience in breaking a range of horses from yearling flat racers to 5 year old hunters.
Eventing
Harriet's main passion was for riding event horses. She still keenly follows the sport and is happy to help others by using her experiences.
Point to Point
Harriet spent 2 seasons riding in point to point, and 5 seasons training, with a number of winners in open races.
Further to this Harriet has qualified a number of horses for point to point in the hunting field.
